ph1:another immobiliser problem

went out today and it just won't fire,cranks ok.used car yest eve and all was ok.
immob light flashes and extinuishes when ignition on ok but wont fire.
tried all usual tricks,fuse 21 out,hold down central lock button.
got my booster pack on it at the moment as its draining battery trying to start but the bast just wont fire.
key fob remotes ok as it turns off the flasing light.

phase1 172.

any new ideas chaps.need car for work tomoz.

ok been outside for 3 hours on new years day and checked "everything".
tdc sensor,crank sensor,ecu wiring,battery terminals etc etc etc etc and nothing,still will not fire up at all !!!

does anyone anywhere know where the immobiliser is on a 2001 172 phase 1 clio.

please someone respond.

Imob is part of the MTU and can't be removed... but as the engine is spinning over it rules the imob out.

What have you actually "checked" on the various items above?
