Ph1 engine rattles, dephaser? Video uploaded

  172 Ph.1, 255 Ph.2
Hey guys...

i read alot about breaking dephasers in this forum...
So i started worrying about the sound of my Ph1 engine. -.-
I always thought it sounds normal, but since about half a year several people (a not trusted mechanic, friends and my dad ;)) mentioned that it doesnt sound like it should.

So i made a video and uploaded it.
I hope you guys can give me your opinions as i dont know pretty much about engines.
The microphone in my camera didn't catch it that nice, but i hope its enough for you guys to recognize something

That doesn't sound like a dephaser to me, but it does sound abnormal.

Would help to rule it out if you can take another video of when the engine's warm. Then rev it a few times. You can do this by using your hand to manually open the throttle body.

Oh! Ok?
Thanks for posting your opinion and offering your knowledge ;)
I hope you are right...as the timing belt was done in february 2012 and i dont want to pay for it again -.-

But just for information...what makes you think its something on the auxillary belt? ^^
Do you think its the belt itself or a broken waterpump, alternator....?
Is there a way to find out what exactly is causing this rattling noise?

Just to keep this updated...
Brought my car to Renault on Saturday.
First guess from the mechanic also was the aux belt.
Im praying for it...
I'll keep this thread updated

It was the aux-belt pulley!
Amazing guess, Fred =)

Cant remember the day the engine did sound soooo good.
Must have been broken for at least 3 years and got louder every year
I actually can hear my k-tec exhaust now properly ^^
