Ph1 Speedo sensor location

Hi,

Just wondering the location of this on a ph1 1.2 is it the same as on the ph2? sort of under the engine up past the manifold? (best i can describe it!).

Also... How tricky a job is changing the throttle cable?

Mk2 Phase 1?

Back of the gearbox, sort of next to the manifold mate.

Its a very simple to get to the speedo sensor. Its to the right of the manifold, follow the cable down, pull the cable out, remove the heatshield and then its able to simply be pulled out the gearbox.

Shouldn't have a throttle cable at all on a mk2, but you said it was a '98 in your message so are you sure it's not a mk1? either way the speedo drive is in the same place as a 172, whether it's a cable or an electronic sensor
