ph2 172 airbox on ph1 172

thinking of getting rid of my viper and putting a ph2 172 airbox on with a itg panel filter will this be ok?

Im running standard box, itg and uprated feeds and it does the job great

I heard people saying the ph1 box is better, why is that?
