Ph2 side strips on a ph1, yes? No?

Wanna get some colour coded side strips on my ph1 but as they're plastic I was thinking it would be easier to pick up some ph2 ones from a breakers and spray them? But the only thing is would they fit?
any help would be appreciated

I think it'll just make be car look a lot nicer and more modern, also gives a chance to change the colour of the bullets and add some originality!
