Hi guys, hope you can help me.
Just bought a phase 1 172 and only got one key in which the battery appears to be dead. I've ordered a new one on ebay.
However when unlocking the door with the key it does not operate the central locking so it only opens the one door. Also when locking, so if I have a passenger, when we leave the car I have to lock both doors with the key! And the boot lock must have been changed at some point as my key will not turn the lock so I just can't lock it!
There is hope though as pressing the button behind the gearstick will lock and unlock both doors including the boot, so the mechanism is working, just not with the key
Any ideas on how to sort this?
Surely its not just due to the dead battery in the key?
