Phase 1 172 - mpg

What sort of mpg are looking at getting out of a mk2 phase 1 172?

I'm talking either town / mixed / dual carriageway & M-Way.

Oh and how big is the tank? And you dont have to run it on 97ron+ do you, 95 is ok i take it?

I always run on super unleaded i get 32mpg average. lowest i've had is 25 mpg and that was on a cliosport meet.

Averaging about 34mpg, that's for a 26mile each way trip to work with a mixture of town and motorway driving.

Can get into the 40s on a long motorway run easily.

When I drove mine to France I got 41.8mpg and the other weekend I got 41mpg driving to somerset and back. Driving to and from work I get around 36mpg combined. Driving around town it goes down to about 32mpg.

The tanks holds 50 litres and you can run it on 95 ron without problems.

mixed driving , v power, sainsburys super or tesco 99 = 36 mpg.

however this week i have made use of the nice cold air, giving it a bit of grief and got 31 mpg.

long runs - e.g bristol to gatwick i get about 44 - 46 mpg.

mixed driving yes, bit of motorway, mostly lanes and a bit of town

they are very good on the motorway not so hot elsewhere lol

between 32-35 it depends how I have been driving

not much town driving, mostly b roads, 27-30 mpg. i do have a heavy right foot. always run a v-power, i normaly get 280 miles to a tank, £43.
