phase 1 172, what wheels?!

hi all, i'm thinking about changing or respraying my standard 172 sport alloys. if i decide to change them what is the best replacement and should i change the colour if i keep them and have them resprayed/powdercoated? my car is metalic silver!

hi, its got oz f1's on it. yeah black looks good, i've seen a photo of a phase 1 with them in black.
i quite like the phase 2 172 16" wheels but not sure what they'll look like on the phase 1!

Ph2 wheels aren't even close to as nice as the f1's. As said, they look great in black.

Just leave them silver. Black wheels + silver car = not a good contrast.

If you're going to get them refurb'd, make sure its the sparkliest silver you can get !!

silver would probably be my prefference! but whats wrong with the 17's surely a bigger version of the oz f1's is better! lol.

Ever driven a mk2 Clio on 17's ? It's unpleasant. Tramlines t'fook. Looks stupid. Tyres are expensive. Looks stupid.

Did I mention it looks stupid ?!

I saw someone respray OZ F1s in a bright silver with lots of flake. Looked awesome!

When I first bought my 172 ph1 it had daft 17's on it. It handled like a bus, rubbed in the arches (wrong offset) and looked like a Chav-waggon.

Steer clear!

IMO Renault got it just right with the OZ F1 wheels on the phase 1 (coming from someone with a phase 1 Clio with 2118s) :S

my mind is made up!!! when i pass my bike test, the wheels are coming off for a refurb and powder coat, i'll use the bike whilst its off the road!!

Just started the process of respraying my F1s. Going with Ford Graphite... sanding down is taking ages!
