Phase 1 Clio 172 - High Mileage - Maintenance?

If I bought a well looked after one with 110k+ or whatever miles, other than regular oil changes what else needs to be done in order to keep her going?

As long as it's been looked after and had it's belts done it will be fine.
My ph1 is on 93k and I regularly do track days in it.

Had it a year now and it broke down last Saturday on the way to FCS, this was due to a faulty magnecor lead I had bought a month prior. :)

in my opinion the best thing you can do to one (mine is getting done this week) is new lower arms, track rods, track rod ends and depending on if its standard gear thats on it a new set of dampers and springs (aftermarket or original what ever you prefer) get the tracking and alignment setup and that will make a MASSIVE difference, my ph1 feels extremely tired compaired to my old mk2 172 which had had all the above done @ 40k miles. im just fussy however

Yep. Or buy one that's just had a clutch and the above bits done. ;).

Mine has 102,000 miles on it now and it still drives like its new. Its had services at every10,000 since I've had it. Other than upgrading all the brakes and tyres its just been run of the mill stuff otherwise as with any car. As everyone else says,as long as its looked after properly the car should easily do very high mileages. Cars nowadays are built far better and last a lot longer than say 20 years ago.
