Phase 1 Pearl Black 172 - opinions needed..

Right guys opinions needed my 172 has been laid up for a few months now as i've been sidetracked with another project!

But today i gave it a good wash and fitted some rims i picked up yesterday, now although these wheels are tidy i want to get them powdercoated but not sure what colour? black, white, red?!

White for me or leave them alone, they look decent but abit big, they 16's or 17's?. Also id lob a ph2 rear bumper on to finish it off

personally i dont like the wheels, black OZ F1's FTW! if you still have the original wheels

Only 16"s & 7J same as my previous rims,

Rear bumper is staying i'm afraid, only phase 2 part ever going on is the rear lights

Forgot to say they only cost £90 - Oh and old rims are for sale to, need new tyres all round and light refurb but come as a set of 5....pm me if interested.

Doesnt look that bad! Leave them as they are or go black.

Also love the ph1 rear end, bar the lights, when lowered it looks so fat

But one thing worth noting about the new rims is the offset is better than the renault rims, as they have an ET35 so fill the arches much better without the need for spacers, although may stick 10mm spacers front and back....

I'm leaning towards black again like the old rims for the stealth look again?

Your ride height looks sweet, what suspension are you running? i'd love to drop mine a bit lower but i cover upto 25k a year so need to keep it fairly practical....

It's on GAZ coilovers .. not highly rated on here but I haven't had any issues. Spring rate is a tad too high; it's a little bouncy sometimes, but simply fill car with passengers (or bags of cement?) and it all goes away..

Oh, well, now then .. erm ...

I've just spent most of the weekend polishing the marks out from where the insurance people messed it up, and also found a load of overspray on the back wheels and bumper (which was the opposite end to the damage!!! )

Got rid of the crappy marks tho but it still needs a machine polish. It's far from perfick.

I'll just keep you in suspense til then
