Phase 1, Phase 2 Etc

Ive Recently purchased a Clio 1.8 16v (J-Plate) Was wondering when phase 2 clio came into place!

& also are the rear lights the same on these. (They look the same in the gallery)

Phase 2 16vs came in beween L/M!

Phase 2s have rounder rear lights and a fat carbon boot strip!

and Phase3 was 1996 - 1998

Ahhh

I have the fat carbon bit at the bottom!

But my car is only a j-Plate

Well their easily changable parts and are often swapped to make the car look newer and arguably better!

Other visual external differences between ph1 and ph2 16vs are the side bump strips - ph1s are thin, ph2s are fat; and the front grill under the bonnet - ph1s are thin and have 2 lines, ph2s are fat and only one line!

Then its a modified Phase1.. Looks like someone has just replaced the strip.. Check the rear lights (newer ones blend better with the strip) - seat colour etc..
