phase 1 rear end mods?!

hi im concidering changing the rear lights on my phase 1 172 to the ones off the phase 2. does anyone know if the bumper and boot lid will fit too?! or if its a good or bad idea altogether?!

Do you mean fitting ph2 bootlid and bumper? Or will the ph2 liights fit with the ph1 bootlid and bumper. Either way I think it all fits. As ph1 peeps often change to ph2 rear bumpers.

They're the same car essentially.

Lights are the same size - you just need to swap some wires over on the connector block. Reaaaaal simple !

Bootlid and other body panels (past the first 6 inches) are identical ph1>2.

Bumpers are different (obviously ).

yeah lights look simple enough. just wondered whether the bootlid fitted basically because i quite like the renault badge in the centre and the bumper is definitely better! cheers for the warning on the colour difference though!

boot fits but im sure you have to mess with the wireing to get the lock to work.
