So my interior door handles are looking a bit grubby (the ones with the window switches on them) and they don't clean up too well, anyone suggest which paint is best to re spray them with? Or any other ideas what to do with them......
always use a primer, and lacquer if you want the paint to stay for longer and not have much of a risk of it cracking and flaking. It will also give it a nice shine
So i've stripped them off the car and had a close inspection....looks as though the lacquer is peeling off them as can be seen below
There all sticky to the touch so i have decided to give myself a little project and refurbish them. Rubbed the drivers side down this morning when i had a spare hour.
Gonna do one at a time incase it doesn't turn out too great!
Thanks Lawro it's not perfect but i'm happy with them, i had some BMW Artic Silver left over from my wheel refurb so i used that, cost me zero to do it....just pondering whether to wet sand them and buy some lacquer to finish them off?
Looking good and I know I need to do something with mine soon as they are so tatty. I'm thinking of getting mine flocked just need to choose the colour. Silver, black or to match the colour of the cage and wheels.
