PIAA side lights (led)

Hi,

I am looking at these PIAA led side lights. (http://www.piaa.co.uk/bulbs/bulbshow.asp?ID=ledhttp://www.piaa.co.uk/bulbs/bulbshow.asp?ID=led) had the halfords own make blue coated ones but they arent very good.

Just wondered if anyone has them and if you suggest blue/white or white/white??

It would be really great if someone had a pic of them in use? (hint hint)

had a set (dont ask why i dont anymore its a sore subject) go with the white/white the blue is very blue and looks way illegal youll get pulled all the time

Thanks, I hate that fake xenon look I just quite a fancied the blue white if it gave a bit of a tinge of blue.

Would you say they were worth the £17.50 though?

debateable but they are alot brighter than std 5w capless bulbs, stick with the white/white they have a very crisp white colour, much nicer than the nasty max pooer style cack blue bulbs you can buy

White/White!!!!!!

I have had these for about 9 months now and I love them. I havnt seen anyone else with them yet. A Very white light, the same as xenons (Mk2 172 Alert)

Ive had the blue/white ones in for a year or so now and never been pulled. Then again Ive got a nervous habit of suddenly switching to headlights rather than just sidelights, every time I pass a copper!

The blue/whites arent like a Halfords bulb dodgy blue colour, they are seriously BLUE BLUE if you get what I mean, really bright blue. A bit like a lightning bolt got trapped in your headlamps. I say go for it, they look crazy and hardly anyone has them in.

Thanks for the pic rt-ed; now all I need is a pic of some blue white ones and I will make a decision, but I am leaning towards the white white.

Im sure they would never notice white white were not standard. Aslong as you were reasonable they would probably just ask you to change them back. (I think worst case, they ask you to change and force you into getting certificate of compliancxe or something from MOT station.)

But I wouldnt worry about them noticing at all! (sidelights so they cant be too bright can they?)

As I have said, Ive had them for about 9 months and lots of police have passed seen me and have not noticed (maybe beacuse my car is not outragous). I did seen some on with blue/white and they looked too blue for me!!!

Ive got the white/white ones in and think they are v cool Not seen anyone else with them in either, which is good!

Yeah that pic is what blue white come out like although mine look a little bit whiter than that. It looks wicked with the headlights on, you see a slight lightning crackle effect under the main beam.
