Sachs FTW

Maybe if you could produce a set of springs with the same rate, but a shorter overall height. Other than that, leave perfection as it is.

indeed sachs ftw but slammed also ftw... iv looked on ct and havn't seen anything... when lowering alot of them refer handling being effected due to the car being made with such precision...a trophy slammed imo would be p**n though

Yeh, must be the £2,000 suspension which comes on them as standard with profiled springs and absorption rates.

£400 per shock iirc but they would all be replaced if coilovers were fitted... so how will it overlap into handling being effected?

Nope, as above about £1250 per front shock. The rears are basically the same as 182cup. Be mad to mess with the set-up, it's perfection for me, even decent coillovers don't come close IMO.

where does it say this 1k+ each price because i heard that aswel... then read on ct that it was like 4 something? 1k per shock lol... no wonder they refurb them

They were designed from day one to be easily re-furbed, they only made limited numbers, so getting them isn't easy.

^ He sold it standard.
It was lowered, that looks 10 times lower at the back than a standard one!

shame he sold it standard, it looked lovely and had some very tastefull mods.

still great fun standard though!

The main problem i can see with lowering one is that you will reduce the suspension travel. Not a good thing at all!! If it runs out of travel then you can say a big hello to understeer :(

I'd slam one no problem. Leave the standard stuff wrapped up cosy in the loft, while the car got a beating with some AST's or something. I'd be the most hated Trophy owner ever

If you want a slammed clio then don't buy a trophy imo. It would make it worse as apposed to better.
