takes 10 minutes. Ideally.... Jack rear of the car up. Put on axcel stands (safety first ;)), remove rear arch liners, remove 2 bolts behind these on each side. Go underneath bumper. 2 more bolts holding the bottom of the bumper on. Remove bumper and remove plastic spacer/insert off each side and clip onto 172 bumper. Replace on car and put all bolts back in. 15 minutes tops ;)

Depends on if you've got a mk2 ph1 or ph2. mk2 ph1 takes a little more work but nothing much.

Mk2 Ph2 - No problem to fit at all.

Mk2 Ph1 - You need to do some drilling and get Mk2 arch liners.

My Ph1 172 with Ph2 bumper...

my 1.2 with rear 172 bumper. all bolts line up etc, best and easiest mod i've ever done.
