While Apex springs do look nice i have found through a few searches and speaking to people that they are s**t for handling and the car skitters around corners, Is this what you think of them?

I dont want to ruin the way it handles now i want to make it better, Less bodroll etc are there any Aftermarket ARBs you can fit?

Took mine out on track with the apex fitted and car was brilliant. much reduced body roll and really predictable handling. have read many comments myself about the harsh ride etc but I can easily live with day to day driving with them. Mate has just fitted them to his full fat 182 and he's just as impressed. Cant compare them to coilovers as I have never been in a car with them fitted but for the £80 or so I paid for them I'm happy.

apex are not as bad as people say for handling. i have had both prolines and apex and in putting my apex back on. its a stiffer ride, it looks so much better tho

Guess if i went with the Apexs the bikes on the roof would have to go and dirty interior would have to happen :dapprove: Looks fooking smart tho

Luke, Scott: Have you got shorter & stiffer shocks to match or are they on Std?

With modern suspension i think standard shocks are enough to have some lowering springs with

I didnt like the apex springs on my 172, found them ok on smooth roads, but the car pitched and bounced on my favourite b roads when driven hard, making it dangerous. Having said that when i swapped to eibachs I replaced the rear struts at the same time, so not sure if they played a part in it handling like a bag of spanners
