Pic request - Tints

Car  Monaco Blue Mk2
On blue Mk2's. Preferably Monaco Blue but post away. If possible state the % of front and rear tints etc, or legal/not legal! etc

Thanks.

Mine... but had them removed, they were illegal

I just had mine done last week, fronts are the same as yours but my rears are darker, how come u removed yours, were u told to remove them or was it own choice

I like that biglad, thats what I'm thinking of or maybe slightly darker at the back.

As asked above, what percentage are they?

Also, If the fronts are over the legal limit will you fail an MOT? If so, are tints pretty much pointless on cars over 3 years old!? unless you can justify almost £200 for a year, or possiblly less, of enjoyment!

Tints wont make the car fail the MOT as its not on the test..

Ive had all my previous cars tinted, all have been darker than my current car and ive never had any problems, but then i live in the sticks and i dont see the police that often.

ANY tint on the front windows is now illegal, and if the police stop you for it you will need to remove them. However most tint places will now re-tint them for free if you want.

I think R20GRC only has a light tint on the 3 rear windows and nothing on the front (from the looks of it)

Thanks, that's what I thought but someone mentioned it on here before, I just couldn't be botherd to find what is tested lol. :clown:

I'd love to find a company in the north west that are around £170 - Slightly darker than biglads rears and similar fronts, Ideally doing free re-tints if pulled!

I think you're right about R20GRC.

The car will fail an MOT if they cant see out the windows properly ;)

Common sense :P
Ive known cars to fail on them.

Heres mine... were all legal at the time with certificate to proove it.

Has: The car will fail an MOT if they cant see out the windows properly ;)

Hahahah, well yeah... ok, but any idiot knows that? ;)

The only time i found the tints to be an issue (and this is when i had dark tints on the back) was when i was trying to reverse in the dark :o hehe

Nice one Has. Any ideas on the percentage of them? Looks just about what I want!

Also, any straight side-on pics?

Ill dig the receipt out tomoro and see what the % is for you

ill also get you a side on pic. I cant seem to find any at the moment.

mine is light on rear 3, nothing on the fronts, no idea of % though. In that pic they look quite light, in other light they can look quite dark :
