I need to let you read Richard Meaden's review of the car on release when he first worked for Evo.

Rob was in it on Saturday, he said the gearbox felt super direct iirc. I know compared with the Clios it's very good all joking aside.

The 1.4 and 1.7 Pumas i've driven (I know they are probably different) although better than a clio still felt like a stick in a builders bucket.

I think the shorter quickshift kit must improve the clios box.

Indeed, the clio always felt a little more loose and a longer throw.

A stick in a builders bucket? Really? They must have been fooked. I've had 3 pumas and all had super tight gearboxes. I'll ask Rob what he thought.

The IB5 gearbox has always been a great box. Even the MK6 ZS/ST had an amazing short ratio box compared with the 182's/197's.

Maybe mate, I like the box in the ST I Fiesta drove. The best box ever was in my mates polo derv, it was short and felt lovely.
