Pick the clio up tomorrow!!

Finally, after waiting 8 weeks (originally told 4 weeks), I pick up my brand new dynamique! I really cant wait, but with all the complaints about problems with brand new clios, can someone give me a list of things to check for? I know people have mentioned bad sunroofs, but can anyone think of other things to look out for? I dont want to take home a faulty car..

AIRBAG LIGHT, EASY FOR THEM TO SORT OUT, JUST WHERE THE WIRE IS SITUATED, THINK NEAR PASSENGER SEAT SO CAN SOMETIMES KNOCK THE WIRE, HENCE THE AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON

check for scratches thorougly cos wen i picked mine up the spoiler had deep scratches on it but renault just put a new one on with no hassle.

My Extremes driver door wasnt hung properly, there was also something in the paint. Just make sure you check it all, everywhere! If youre not happy, say so.

My 172 is on its way at the moment. On a lorry somewhere between Manchester and Maidenhead. Im sat like a little boy B4 Christmas!!!!

Good luck with your car tomorrow, look closely at the paint especially around the wheel arches, move seats forward and back to see if airbag light comes on, but most small problems you may encounter can be dealt with under warranty.

pick up my 172 on saturday too! ordered last week - this has been the longest week in my life!!!!

Paint problems, check the car from top to bottom and all around the door, bonnet edges etc, Rattles, sunroof rattles/squeaks, if its a 1.2 16v check the idle seems ok and the engine doesnt cut out or start/idle funny when cold, as you drive it around keep an eye on the tyre edges as the tracking tends to go out and the Continentals it comes with are crap, electric windows squeaking when lowered/raised, squeaky clutch pedal and clutch judder, oh and check it has an aerial!

Check the seats for rattles - my passenger seat rattles all the time
