Picked my 02 Clio Sport

Hello all! I just picked up my 02 plate Clio Sport black and am very happy with it.

Usually drive a Mini Cooper S but that will soley be the wifes now, but I am happy with that.

I found this forum very useful while trying to source a clio sport.

I have some niggles like the finding a radio code as I think it is an import (but don't care). And getting rid of the Cat Back Magnex Exhaust which is on there but I will post in the relevant forums. (But any offers for the exhaust are welcome).

Are you going to go for a stealth exhasut then?

I don't know about the stealth exhaust, all depends on how much a standard one is gonna cost me. I just want enough money for this exhaust to replace it with one you can't see. I went to a HiQ garage and they said they can't get the part as its manufacturer only. Gonna try kwikfit today to see what they say. Its it £200+ then I may consider a stealth one, but is there other ones aprt from kTec?

I'd go for a Stainless steel aftermarket one, as the OE Renault ones don't last that long.

Ktec make nice stealth exhausts, also worth a look are Prospeed.

I'd always go for stainless aftermarket as you get lifetime warranty and no rusty tailpipes.

RE: Radio code. If you know the supplying dealer, they usually have record of it. I got mine the otherday from Liverpool Renault, who were very helpful. If its an import....then maybe not

Been reading on this forum about kTec racing, but who are GDi and Prospeed? Can't find there websites so I can make a decsion.

The radio is gonna get a kicking if it keeps beeping!

Looks very clean.

GDi are a tuning company and prospeed an exhasut specialist.

The exhaust from renault is around £400 cat back iirc!!! and its poor quality tbh.

After looking at the prices for GDI and Ktec How much do you think I could get for the Magnex exhaust on my car now? 6x4, 1 year old and with lifetime guarantee, but don't know if that is transferable to a new car?

I was thinking £180? Do you reckon that is about right?

Got a Magnex on mine, already fitted when purchased like yours. So mine staying as it seems to do a good job. Had no probs with it. Worth doing a search on here as seems like theres plenty been said on exhausts, not sure why Magnex get slated, had one on my last car from new. Quality was excellent and fitted well too. Maybe there are some friday afternoon systems out there and QA isn't upto much....hard to say really. At the end of the day if you buy something it is garanteed and should be fit for purpose.....in an ideal world.....which i'm afraid it aint...lol

Ok, got a quote from Kwikfit to have a standard exhaust fitted and they came back with £362.

So now I am probably gonna go for SS after market stealth as I want it looking standard.

Could anyone recommend me one to fit friday or the weekend as I need to get this one off or I will get an ASBO from my neighbours.

I want virtually standard or a little grunt sounding.

I think from reading the forum that I want a Ktec or Prospeed one, but am I right in saying the prospeed ones they can custom make to how I want it to sound?

Lovely car but I see whay you want to get rid of that exhaust....massive isn't it and hangs down a treat.

OE exhaust is fooking expensive isn't it...I'd personally got for the K-tec stealth to retain the cars good looks and not to piss the neighbours off.

Also cheaper then the OE one which is a bonus

If you can kneel down a stick your head in it, its a 6x4 Magnex. Got rid of mine for £120. Car is now standard, all I got left to do is a good service and refurb alloys.

Does anyone know YOZZA Sport or Ren-tech prices for a service? 02 plate 36k miles.

Is that with belt changes?

Gonna cost me bout £50 travelling there and back, but seems like most people on here highly recommend them.
