Picked up my 182 today!!

  Fiesta ST

Got to the dealer and First thing I noticed:

Front splitter missing!!!!! this doesnt look good

Got checklist out and everything else is there spot on.:)

The car looks really nice and is a dream to drive.

On the running in period though at the mo - soo tempted to push it all the way.

Said to my Girlfriend "people have had problems with lights coming on (ABS, ESP & Serv) hope mines gonna be ok" then bang on que i had my very own xmas lights

Turned ignition off and on this cleared it for awhile, and then it came on again I did same again and it seems to have cleared for the time being.

Overall I am very very pleased with it!

Nice one mate, but it is really sh*t how people get the same problems with brand new cars. Youd think Renault would learn and sort the bloody problem out.

lol mine arrived today...newcardiscount highered a driver to bring it from Ganchester...

the driver was asking me if everything is ok..got my cliosport checklist out and guess what...no front splitter doh :)

then i see some plastic wrapping on the back seat...the front splitter was on the back seat :) doh Shouldnt be too dificult to fit

The car is fantastic..so pleased. Even keeping it under 4000 rpm its just awesome. The driving position is fine for me but i do agree about the clutch being slightly too far to the right but ill get used to it :)

Flying machine.

The brake light switch causes this fault, take a note of when the brake lights come on and how hard you have pushed the pedal.

Switch adjustment is crucial , best to go back to Renault and tell them to set the switch so that the brake lights come on with no more than 5 bar (might be psi) pressure in the braking system, easy to sort for them using the Clip.

You can do it yourself if you want, remove switch, push in plunger, refit switch and get it so the brake light comes on within around 1/4 of an inch pedal travel.

If you get it wrong the light will come back on, if you have nearly set it correctly you just get the ESP light come on ,switch to sensitive to pedal movement.

Dont take long to sort.

I cant believe how many dealers forget to put the front splitters on - just shows how little they know about the Renaultsport range.

Oh and wait till you get above 5,000rpm :devilish:
