liquid yellow is really nice, but I'm not sure why people would want to pay £1200 for that (petrol blue) sure it looks a bit different in the sun, but thats all it looks

^^ Yeah, shame I didn't make that meet. I went there the week after and they had a liquid yellow vee. I asked the salesman if I could have a look at it and he said what's the point if you're not buying it! What a great sales technique!! He also told me they were an insurance group 18 - so yeah they didn't really have a clue!

A guy used to have one around my way and i'm not a fan of this colour either.
In those pictures it looks a lot better than in real life in the brochure it actually looked not bad aswell. The one around here in the sunlight doesn't look all that shiny and the rest of the time just looks like a murky dark greeny/blue flip paint. No way would I pay an extra £1200 for that.

The reason it looks more green in certain light is because its a blue top coat and flakes of gold underneath, the yellow gold and the blue will make green or just blue in other light.

I have a few of it changing colour... havent seen many pics taken in the sun so thought these might help of my old 182. The gold wouldnt come out on the pics.. the camera couldnt pick up the reflective gold area...and just makes it look like a white reflection.. but u can still see a bit of gold coming thru. looks good in your pics zonda. there was one of these at chartoak when i bought my titanium. the salesmen were tellin me it was 'orion blue' and renault had only made 5 of them! it was a proper piece of renault history..... lol, i wasn't much for the colour in the flesh.

I know what you mean, as there were so few made in this colour.. not many owners were as mad about keeping them looking spotlessly clean and like a jewel! so they dont look half as good as they could with a good polish up.. I dont even drive my cars if theres a spot of dust on them! lol.

By far the best colour in the 182 range, imo. I really shouldn't have been such a tight arse when I ordered my 182 and should have picked petrol blue instead....:dapprove:
