Hi ive got gaz coilovers but i think the top
Mount has collapsed can anyone show
Me what there top mounts look like . Im
Unsure if mine has got uprated solid top mounts.
so the adjuster for the height comes
Out of the top of the turret if that helps.

hi heres the pic of my top mounts on my gaz coilovers . unfortunatley this set up was on my car when i bought it so i dont know if this is even right etc. the rubber peice on one of the turrets is to stop the scraping noise from the top mount rubbing.


basically what i want to know is does this look right ?
as my osf top mount is knocking i dlike to fit some solid top mounts but i cannot work out how they can fit ?

you have compbrake solid top mounts, uber s**t, get proper ones

stupid question . but if i order some standard top mounts from my local motor factor will i have all the parts i need to return the top mounts to standard?

no, and non genuine don't fit properly

oh dear.... umm ive been looking at pure motorsport top mounts can you tell me much about them mate are they easy to fit ? and will they fit straight on my coilovers.

bit of a **** to fit, but bloody fantastic (get the strut bar too)

you have to drill holes, quite accuratley

do the holes have to be really acurate for the sturt brace only ?

If anyone can notice can yOu see in the second picture the centre of the top mOunt where the damper bolts through is off centre can anyone tell me why this would happen?

^because the damper rod is tilted, it's normal

But the other side is dead centre ?

were the wheels turned or straight when you took the pic?

Straight dude. Would a camber bolt make it like this ? Cus theres a bit of neg camber on the drivers side and not on the pass

Might want to get your wheel alignment checked to sort out all the camber and stuff.
Probs not worth doing till you've fitted your new top mounts though.

Hmm think goin to order the pure motorsport top mounts tommorow . Fit them and get the alignment set up right then aee where im at .

you could also have a bent rod, I had this on my firs set of std shocks. front left side had about 1 degree negative because of that. camber bolts won't tilt the shock that much

Bump!!!! Basically this knocking is still there but for some reason its not been knocking for about 4 days but suddenly its come back. But now it sounds harsher than normal.


Can anyone help
