£1600 with 12 months MOT, service history, nearly new tyres, new seats & curtains, bodywork all straight bar fixable sliding door rust - It's all cosmetic


A really nice one is worth £4K - mine will be worth that with about £400 quid and a months hard work

If you can do stuff to concorse standard you are onto a winner.

You've paid a fairly sensible price. Once done up (and I mean restored with just some nice wheels on) these can fetch near £10k now, more if you go nuts with it. There's money in that for sure and the wedgies are only going to get more popular.

Just like Mk1 and Mk2 escorts, you can buy a rough 2 door, chuck a grand at it on new panels, do the work yourself and spray it, fit bucket seats , whack it on ebay and watch some berk pay £15k for it.
Same thing with lotus cortina's; £20k done up, and 200E's or crayford Gt's; £10k ish done up.

One place I know of charges about £20k + for a completely restored moggy traveller.

I've been member for years and helps loadsa ppl out. 12 months ppl used to get 4 or 5 attempts at a shop request like this within a few hours?

I used to own one of the older ones and have so many happy memories of it Down in Torquay park on the beach cook tea and skinny dip in the sea then back in and sleep for the night excellent fun wish i had kept it would be worth loads now

Im looking forward to seeing how you get on with this one - Low with small wheels or big wheels and a tiny drop ??
