Plasidip help

Not sure if it's the right section but ,
Just plasdipped my interior trims from my mk3 clio in gun metal grey. Plasti dip comes out in Matt and was wondering can I put clear lacquer on it for a gloss finish?

Clear laquer wont turn it into gloss, plasti-dip sell a glossifier which goes over the top and turns it more into a satin finish

Had a lot of clear lacquer in the shed and thought I'd give that a try instead of spending £20 on the glossifier.
Cheers will order some glossifier when I get some spare cash

Can always try it, clear laquer will dry hard aswell so it wont peel off easy which is the beauty of plasti dip

Yea that's what I was thinking,I've done it gun metal grey but I don't think it's dark enough for me so might get the glossifier if I change it to black

Yeahh, if they were silver before then make sure you have put plenty of coats on to get it the propper colour, if youv only done 2-3 coats the silver might still be showing through

I've done about 8 coats so I think that'll do haha,might go for Anthracite instead of black and then spray my alloys
