As title says, for some reason my plasma tv (32" Sony) has got a vertical thin line right the way through it, you can see it alot more on bright backgrounds. Can this be repaired?
S##t! I m guessing that the pixels have gone in which ease it will cost quite alot as you might have to have the whole screen replaced? I would contact sony and see if they can give you any advice.
Apparantly with plasmas you can more the line to the top of the screen so it isn't really noticable. Not sure how though as mines an LCD. Have you still got the manual? The guy in Comet was telling me about this function with Plasmas when we were after our HD telly.
contact trading standards if you don't get any joy. My sister is a trading standards solicitor and they get people sorted whos stuff has just run out of warranty all the time. She was tellin me someone with a fride 1 month out of warranty got it replaced when trading standards got involved. Contact Sony im sure as a loyal customer they will at least be able to tell you the facts.
