Play Asia users with a 360

Reading through a few of the threads in the tech chat area and seen that some have purchased games from playasia.com...just a couple of questions:

1. How can you tell which games have a region code that will work on a pal 360?

2. Would i need to 'mod' my 360 to play the import games?

3. Anyone found anywhere else that supply cheap 360 games?

I can see where it says about a region under the game title, but others have purchased these and im assuming they work? Gears of war for example:

Gears of War US$ 44.90 (~23.23 GBP)

Asia, NTSC J / Action

No PAL, just Japanese NTSC, so why are these working? I just want to know that if i buy a game it will work

So long as it has a tick in the PAL box then it'll work on a UK 360.
