Downloaded this yesterday (PS4), previously been playing fortnite for months. I’ve had about 6 games and killed 1 person, lol. Everyone seems to be miles faster and more accurate...it’s only been out a couple days on PS4!

I’ve altered them a bit, but the controller settings are really awkward, holding down square to reload seems daft. The movement seems pretty clunky and my character often takes a couple of seconds to actually sprint after I’ve pressed sprint. Don’t know if it’s lag or a bug but it’s really annoying.

Sounds like pubg to me. You'll get used to it. Its very hard but very very satisfying when you get a win

Stick with it! Awesome game! Been playing on Xbox One X since it came out and love it!

First try at solo, 9th with 6 kills. b*****d storm killed me! I must have come up against people worse than me. I still don’t think I like it that much, it looks and feels ancient. Willing to stick it out though.

I could never get on with the movement and clunkiness of how it plays. It still feels like a beta

I’ve played it since it first came out, so remember it being actually broken! Don’t think it’s clunky at all now. Double click to sprint sometimes takes a split second to run. It is just a difficult game, and if you’re good, you’re good. I’m not bad, and get the odd win.

Yep, no idea why people are calling it clunky, its really not.

I haven't played the PS4 version though, so maybe that version still needs more work?

Personally I think it is because I've been playing COD so much, and that is so much smoother to play.

I've got a ridiculous play time on the Xbox version (30 something days) and bought the PS4 version last week. I'm playing on an Xbox One X with SSD and PS4 Pro with SSD so can compare apples with apples. Not the best but not $h!t either (33rd on solos, and nudged 300 dinners).

The Xbox version does look slightly better however the PS4 version runs much better/smoother. Considerably less frame drops in close quarters combat. Managed a dinner on my first game on PS4 and another on my 3rd. You can definitely tell when you are playing against Xbox veterans on the PS4.

Will spend more time on the Xbox version as thats where our motley crew play most but the early signs are good for the PS version.

100%. It’s running much better. Still the odd wee niggle but much better.

Rendering issues aren’t down to the game, that’s down to the Xbox/ps4

So I’d never played this. But been playing it with @Jonnio, his Bro and a friend the last couple of Sundays.

It’s good fun, but a massively different game to Warzone in pace and focus. Much more tactical I’d say and feels very slow until you get into a fight.

Been enjoying it as a change of pace. It’s either beginners luck or the fact I’m clearly brilliant at fps 👀, but bagged 7 wins / dinners across 15 games so far…..

Played it a bunch over lockdown with a mate. Used my Ipad after my phone got tiresome and it was just dinners left right and centre (im not even that good!)

Used to play this with some friends on PC when it was popular a few years ago, tried to play again last year and all the lobbies I played were filled with bots, so no challenge at all until you occassionally face a real player. I'd much rather wait longer for a game and not have my kills inflated by dodgy AI.
Might be better now it's free to play though.

There weren’t that many bots. It’s pretty obvious to tell the bots from non-bots 😂

Obviously I can’t compare it to what it was like, but all three of my teammates played it at the beginning of it starting, so @Jonnio may have a view on it being harder or easier. Tbh, I don’t really care. It’s a break from the sweaty mess of Warzone and the slower pace is welcomed sometimes.

Feels like there's a lot of them in "Normal" to be honest, much easier compared to the old pre-bot days. We probably need to try "Ranked" and get punched in the dick over and over to get the true PUBG experience.

Last time I tried to load Ranked it had searched for 7 mins and not found anything though gave up.

YeH I bought it when it first was released, to be fair I’ve made back more than I spent on the game selling loot in the early days.

Still got £51 sat in my Steam account courtesy of the game so can’t grumble too much!

Did fire it up to update this afternoon, will see how much has changed.

Used to be great fun, the thrill of finding a decent sniper, scope, suppressor in the early days was good.

Then later on that stuff seemed to be everywhere

I tried it again a couple of weeks ago and its was 80% bots. I stopped playing when all the cheaters were rife about 8months ago. Im rank 450ish i think
