Playstation 3. How much?!

Ok, 3 games with it, all sh*t if you ask me, but I doubt I'll be paying anywhere near that sort of price. Has anyone already pre-ordered a PS3? If so, how much? I cant wait for them to come out, but I just cannot justify paying that much money for one. Think I'll be waiting a while. Grand Theft Auto 4 released next year too. Git in. Imagine how big that game will be on the new style discs?! Wow.

The price of the console alone better drop dramitically, as it won't compete with the X360. £425 apparently!!!!

Thats not gonna happen anyways as soon as PS3 launches MS are gonna go ohh i think we have had the console out long enough now lets lower the price. If it drops down to £200 or less the PS3 is gonna have a hard time selling against it.

Amusingly Sony actually haven't built a single production PS3 yet, they are still looking at the factories in China and sorting things out.

Reading between the lines they are going to syphon off some of the European hardware to Japan and the US, and Europe may not get much (or any) until Spring 2007. They estimate at the moment that they can have 700,000 units ready for each territory by Christmas. To put that number into perspective, the Nintendo DS sold just under that number in a single week each in Japan and the US. I can see the silly Ebay prices already!

Compare the $800 PS3 with the $170 Wii and that is one hell of a difference, will be interesting to see what the confirmed UK prices of both are.
