I read this on the playstation website earlier. Why they can't do this "maintenance" during the week instead of on a bank holiday I don't know :/

was a DDOS apparently, and yes, i can't understand why they would choose a BH to do the work, although its only a BH here, so maybe its a worldwide outage and Monday is the lightest day normally for the service?

Yea I heard the same, I wonder why it messes with the psn so badly as other big companies have also been DDOS but seem to recover and get back online quickly. Hope it's not off for a month like before! Should be the whole world affected by it, support staff are at lower levels on a weekend is a good shout

They've postponed the maintenance for today, but it sounds like it's still down anyway?

Briefly had a message popup, saying that I'd been disconnected earlier. But that's been about it.

Have been watching Netflix on the PS3 and thankfully, that's separate from PSN.
