dont no if anyone has any ideas, its a 2003 1.2 16v, and if i rev it above about 3k it rattles alittle then if i let off the accelerater instantly it then makes a cracking/clanging noise, sounds really bad, if i ease off the throttle gently it doesnt do it. only just really noticed it, its coming from the rocker cover area sounds abit like its at the back of the engine to. iv just spend £300 on a service, and its only done fifty thousend miles so i thought it would have much more life left in it its always been serviced early and by a renault main dealer, it doesnt miss fire or run rough atall, still drives normal. anyone no if theres a weakness in the 1.2 16v engines?? any help appreciated.
