Anyone fitted the protection plate PMS make?

Lower cambelt protection cover Simple protection plate to stop any gravel/stones and debris from getting into the cambelt area. Laser cut from steel blanks, folded and TIG welded, comes with two mounting bolts. Clio 2 to fit with standard crank pulley.

That looks like a useful bit of kit. I refitted my arch liners recently as I was paranoid something was going to go into the belts, but on refitting it was still a bit unprotected. I’ll look at getting this!

I haven’t fitted one yet but I’m going to when I finally get my engine back together. Probably wouldn’t have this issue if I’d had this fitted!

I’ve currently got my engine in bits and noticed a bit of damage on the crank pulley and casting so it got me looking I got lucky so will probably be buying this

I had the genuine RS one from a MK3 cup racer fitted on mine, with some slight modification.

No one was making them for MK2 at the time.

Definitely worth doing I'd say, you never know if it'll save the engine one day.

Got a PMS lower cambelt cover nearly 2 years ago. Also got the lower cambelt sprocket with the intigrated key to go with it.
Both still waiting to be installed

Felt its definetly worth the extra security. Especially since the F4R is a needle in a haystack in Aus.

*From memory the APMotorsport unit needs to be motified to fit the Clio2 block.
The PMS plate that suits the Clio2 is the smaller one out the sample images shown on their website.

Easy to fit if they are doing belts, I think to fit it afterwards you would need to redo the aux belt entirely

Thinking of getting one of these for mine. Looks like I need to renew the crank pulley anyway at some point as the rubber is perishing. Would it be worthwhile getting the keyed crank pulley or is it a waste of time on a standard engine?

Yeah the APM one is the genuine Renault Sport item, the same one i had.

It's made from stainless.

Belts have just been done, that's a shame. Might do the aux belt myself this summer then.

Need to pin the crank and set timing again on oem 172 non keyed pulley. Leave it until next cambelt job.
