Quite like the idea as already have a HDD so saves me buying a network one instead..

Or are there better/cheaper things on the market?

Tbh the main thing that appeals is just remotely accesing using my laptop without having to have my Desktop left on as well..

Although the fact it supports android as well grab my attention..

Looks like a pretty good solution. You can sort out some more advanced stuff for less with the right know-how, but sometimes its worth paying out just to remove all the legwork and general hassle.

download orb onto your pc, then androrb onto your android phone and it sorta does the same thing for free

oh i didnt read that bit
but if your desktop is on then itll work and itll also work on your laptop, i use it around the house with a laptop in the other room
