pool of water in rear passenger footwell

i have stripped my car and ever since i keep finding a pool of water in what was the rear passenger side footwell. i have no idea where it is coming from and there doesn't seem to be a source.

anyone any ideas??? :S

I had this in my 172 , under the back seat and in spare wheel well . I was told it was from the black grommets next to the rear lights , remove them , put in some silcone sealant and replace the grommets .

The trim on the side, when i took mine off i got water under the passenger rear seat.

I just took them off gave it a clean behind and they were fine, worth a try.

Yes, the door/rear quarter strips.
