Poor cold running

hi, my car is a bit hesitant first thing in the morning. i tend not to go over 3k rpm until it's warmed up anyway, but it's not very smooth when cold. sorts itself out after a mile or so.

i've also got the emissions light on the dash, though i dont think it came on when the problem started. possibly related?

Sounds like it could be. Is your fuel economy crap all of a sudden?

fuel economy is averaging 34mpg which i think is great considering it's all built up roads on the way to work with no motorways or dual carriageways.

i have a similar issue and my mpg has gone down to about 28/29

no emissions light on though

could i have the above issue with the lambda

warning light could be lambda, although the ecu doesn't rely on it for cold start/running. sparkplugs would be worth checking. Needs plugging into diagnostics to look at live data and fault codes
