poor power at low revs

my 172 ph2 feels a bit flat below 4-5k rpm

could this be down to a faulty component ?

maybey cleaning the throttle bodie may help

i managed 140 today (on a private road ) and it still had more to go so its not down on power

any thoughts ?

Thats how they all are i'm afraid!

They dont have much torque really till 5k. then you hit the kick!

hmmm i thought as much, typical 16v twincam eh :dapprove:

nah its all good like you say when you hit the power it does start motoring

whats the best way to improve the low down torque mods wise ?

cams and a remap i take it ?

It's a high reving tunned engine, thats the way it is, just rev the bolloxs out of it, it's fine.
