Popping out of gear...

My Willy has been popping out of gear on landing after a jump or sometimes entering Karussel whilst lapping the ring. It happens both in third and fourth and can be a bit disconcerting at times. Are there stronger gear selector detents available for motorsport use? Has anybody else experienced this problem?

There are a few spots on the ring labelled "Sprunghugel" or jump. If you dont jump, you are just not going fast enough. And there are plenty of spectators there to keep you honest. The firast one at Pflantzgarten, in particular is interesting. You can either brake before or after the jump but nobody brakes before...

go for the engine mounts first..

also, add a humpty great top mount to the engine and strap it to the bulkhead.

its probably more engine/gearbox movement than gearbox internal problems.

Good thinking. It probably is exceeding the design limits as far as wiggling around in the bay is concerned.

Is there a Renault motorsport catalogue? The guys here havent much English and I have none of their languages...

ya dont need no fancy catalogue lol..

check the bushes and mounts.. if they are of the hollow / webbed type - as most are.. get some high grade silicone glue/sealant.. the one for external window sealing..

fill the cavities in the mounts n away ya go.. sod the competition ones lol..
