popping under hard acceleration

My ph1 172 pops under hard acceleration in 1st and sometimes 2nd gear.
It kinda sounds like its coming from the exhaust but im not too sure.
Does any body have any ideas as to what it might be?

does that not mean there a hole in the exhaust, mine popped all the time got it checked at national tyres and it was cracked all through the system

well iv recently got a new exhaust system. only a couple of months ago.
new system from the cat back i think... so it maybe that theres a hole in it somewhere b4 there i guess.

mine does this too. its not the exhaust as i have a full stainless steel system, so not idea what it is

it prob will be the exhaust if its an after market one! BUT its not broken! just coz its a bigger bore! sounds good tho

mine does it when its fully warmed up too. my exhaust is a standard renault 1. had it fitted a couple of months ago.

well i dont know why, but its coz unburnt fuel is gettin into the exahust!

when it pops, it isnt like a loud pop like u would get from a backfire.
its more of a quick succession of pops usually...

Mine does it sometimes. I wouldn;t worry about it. I like it, think it's quite cool.

when i come to sell it, and it happens, its gunna put the buyer off isnt it
