Not seen it mentioned here. I couldn't care less who 'wins', but the big argument from the HD-DVD crowd seems to be the whole p**n thing.

Not anymore...

I think its safe to say HD-DVD is not the format to choose. 360 owners.. time to chop in your hd-dvd drives ;)

Yeah BD has won this war. Now to fight the BD v SD battle which will be far tougher.

I reckon they'll end up including both SD & BD in the same dvd package whenever you buy a film and encourage people to make use of the better quality format.

i don't think the war is over quite yet, but yeh the p**n thing is likely to make quite an impact.

no point in BD yet anyway, can't get the matrix for it, pff ;]

HD-DVD do that in their combo discs in the US and people really don't like them, the flipper disc.

I doubt they would include 2 separate discs in the package when they can use the flipper disc but then you don't get any disc art as its data on both sides, it also makes the cost of the film more expensive so for people that have high def, they don't want to pay the extra to get the crappy version.

For people that are looking to go to high def in the future it makes sense and they can buy a disc that future proofs them.
