Possible engine mount problem??

When i press the clutch down to change gear, or let off the acellorator i can hear a strange noise in my clio, its hard to describe but its like a whiny sort of rubbing or grating sound. Not metal on metal though i don't think.

Its pretty intermittent.

I've been thinking it might be an engine/gearbox mount?
Any ideas..

I get the same, is it mainly at high revs when lifting off throttle as well?

My car is in stealers getting fixed now i hope.

What model is it is it only on accelrating etc?

its when i let off the gas or depress my clutch..
its a .12 RN grande thingymagic..
