Yes it does need cutting, around two inches from each end once fitted from the middle out.

Cut it with scissors mate, or if you haven't got a half decent pair of scissors garden snips do the job just fine (the sort of things you'd use to cut your roses with). Its a relatively soft plastic you see.

Top man! I rang Darlingtons in Harlow to order one in, hopefully it will hold my cracked bumper together... They are a VW/Skoda/Renault franchise and I could hear the parts guys talking in the background, one of them said 'it will be for a Clio because the Renault ones are £150+VAT', the guy I was talking to exclaimed 'faaaakin 'ell'!

Just found this thread thank god! I was about to order a new one from renault as i smashed mine today and have just saved myself a packet. Bloke at skoda seemed to know straight away what i was on about, think they have shipped a few lately!!

just been told while ordering mine that he knew it was for a renault because no one with a skod just buys the splitter you need the whole bumper apparently lol

Turn's out the splitter fits the Zetec S too Had half of mine ripper off so I poped into Skoda Watford and they had one on the shelf. He was saying the has had a massive increase in demand for them so he's keeping a rolling stock of them!

You've been had,i just picked mine up for 11.97 !! plus on the way out of the skoda dealer's i saw an artic truck turn over and bury a ford focus with a few tonnes of wood shaving !!

only issue i have with this is under the front bumper ,the trim buttons on the underside potrude slightly so when i offered the splitter upto it, it didnt seem to look like it would sit flush!?? if anyone gets what i mean.lol

what is it holdin on exactly ,i didnt even look tbh. the tabs arent actually attatched in a sense of they will stop the trimm buttons holdin whatever it is in place if i cut them!?

got mine two weeks ago for 10.50 gotta love trade for knocking a few pennies off think i went a bit overboard securing using 18 self tappers but i like to the its a part of the bumper for life now. i personally like the way it looks, good find to the original thread starter.

Alrite guys, just been to dunfermline skoda and been told the part number could not be found? He searched for the part by car and year but couldnt find anything. He reckons last time someone wanted one they had to go to seat for an ibiza splitter. Anyone had this problem before?

Called specialist cars in Aberdeen today and gave the guy the part number on the second page and he found it straight away. He said that his colleague had said that he has heard about them being fitted to clio's. Pretty disgusting how much renault rape you huh?

Result anyway...£10.19 paid for and ordered and will arrive on Thursday.

What part number did you use? I'm thinking of picking one up from Preston and would be best to avoid confusing them with an incorrect number.
