Postcode risk assesment list

  Monaco Blue Mk2
WA Warrington
1, 4-8C

I'm not too sure how accurate this is. Well either that or there is still variations within the categories because at my mums house, WA8 it is £200 dearer than at my dads WA6 !? :S

Trouble with these things is that they generalise too much - both my house and my parents house are "D" ....yet its much cheaper to insure a car at the latter.

And MK45 (Bedford) is an A!?! Dream on!

that is such a sh1t way of calculating it all...

i live in the middle of nowhere... in the valleys of Wales... with only 2 houses within a 2 mile radius, down a private road... yet have a Chester postcode... bringing it up to an F!!!

what a load of crap

B, there are some A's in my local area in places I wouldnt want to park let alone live!

Doesn't that sum up the complete f**k-up that these risks represent???

Our previous house acording to that list was a cat E. We now live in a cat F on that list and yet its a massive improvement in terms of safety and general lifestyle.

What a shower of s**t - why don't the insurance arseholes just paste everyone with an F-brush and be done with it? :mad:

BS8 = C = Me
CF40 = E = Mum
BA2 = B = Partner's Mum
BS31 = B = Partner's new flat

Really shocked bout Mum's code, as I lived there with her for like 8+ years and not once did you hear anything about a crime. As for my code, I was expecting something higher - because my partners old Pug 106 got broken into TWICE.

I'm taking those with a pinch of salt.

home is a C; uni is a B

Uni would cost me about £150 more!

BD21 - D

A complete bull way of assessing insurance risk. Surely they have the technology to base risk on a complete postcode, a database of nasty streets etc.

My area is nice, not a car crime in years on our street according to the neighbours, yet 2 miles away in the same postcode you couldnt even have a plantpot in your garden with out some f***ing bag head steeling it to make a bucket!

Also ive recently moved fom Ilkley which is LS29 - B to BD21 - D and it didnt affect my insurance one bit??

Hows that work then? Was i been charged at a higher risk even tho its supposed to be a B, or is that list nonsense.

beginning to wonder...
