I have recently had some wheels powdercoated and, as is often the case, they have powdercoated the whole wheel (inner and outer) including the inner mounting face where the wheel mounts to the hub.
I recall being told that the mounting face should not be covered (and never is on brand new wheels) and wondered whether someone could advise whether I should wet and dry the mounting face to remove the powdercoat. I think the issue here is that the bolts may loosen as the powdered layer wears away or the wheel may stick/bond to the hub.
The correct answer would no doubt be of use to many on here.
Thanks.
