Power Cable- Cant get it ibn the engine





sorry for posting this here if i can get a quick respose i can fit mi amp......

the gromet where the bonet pop cable runs is behind a bottle in the engine (power steering i think). I need to push the amp power cable through from the engine to the dash...HOW? do u have to remove the bottle? if so how? please help us then this post can be deleted. Is this the righr method?

I removed the bottle and pulled back the sound proofing. Then carefully pushed a screwdriver through from the cabin with the cable taped to it. Its an utter arse to get your hand up behind the matting in the cabin, but an easy enough job.

I didnt need to move the bottle as mines only a 1.4 with loads of space! Sorry cant help with that, but its probably a bt easier if you have a mate to either help pull it through or to push it from the engine bay through to you.

I am having the same issue here on my Mk1 172! I have located the Power Steering resevoir and can see how you guys get to the grommet, but how do you remove the bloody bottle? It looks as though there is no screws or bolts holding it down, but it wont budge!
