Power Output

Recently bought myself a 182FF, according to parkers this is running 180bhp, guessing this is at the flywheel, anyone know what kind of power they should be running at the wheels. Was just interested really, thanks for any replies. Rob

The 182 is actually PS i.e (pferdestarke) the german measurement of bhp. To give an example think of the Astra VXR that has 240 ps, it really has 237bhp so theres around 3-4 bhp by the way of conversion.

A fwd car between 100 & 200bhp will lose roughly 15bhp per transmission loss so taking this into account a good 182 will be running roughly 152-155bhp atw.

Never mind figures, its all about the drive ;-)
