Powerflow Exhausts - Advice Needed!!!

  Cup 172
After my earlier post…http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=221842

Been ringing round and a backbox from reno is around 240 and powerflow will do me a cat back for 265… However…

Told him I wanted it to be quiet and he called back and said the fella who make them reckons that it will be fairly loud and there is nothing they can do about it. Anyone had a Powerflow? How loud is it? How many silencers etc?

If anyone has a reasonably quiet exhuast from them can you tell me the configuration? That way I can go back to them and point them in the right direction… Pictures would be even better!!

Thanks,
Phil.

just get them to put bigger silencers in than they do for the boy racers if they only have small ones put two in the system before the back box.

I have a powerflow, it's a 2 silencer job with a decent sized rear and it is pretty loud :(

Yes they are quite loud - fine for a short journey, but too loud for long distance!

I have an offer for someone - I've taken an N reg Clio Rsi in as a part-ex on a car I sold. The Clio has a powerflow stainless steel cat back exhaust system on it.

I'm looking to sell the Clio on, and have a buyer but they dont like the loud exhaust (the buyer is an older lady) I wondered if any enthusiast on the forum would like to swap a standard exhaust (any condition but no holes please) for this powerflow one, I guess it may even release a few BHP???

I'm in Wiltshire and happy to travel a bit to swap although they would have to remove their exhaust. (The Exhaust cost £225 +vat apparently) and I can send someone a pic if they like, the tip looks similar to normal although not bent downwards - and the exhaust is guaranteed for life.

I had a powerflow fitted to my 1.2, I asked for the very quietest one they had. Had it fitted then after 2 weeks it just got way too annoying and loud so I took it back, they then fitted the biggest quietest stainless steel backbox they had free of charge, it was a slight improvement but was still way to boomy.

The fit and everything was ok and it looked good, they even adjusted it exactly how I wanted it although the bloke who fitted it was the kind of guy who lit his welder from his cigar and they spent a lot of time standing around drinking tea.
