I got in my car this morning and the power steering isnt wrking. The fluid level is quite high but the steering has been fine. i got it lower last week at k tec so i dont know if my pump was on its way out and the extra stress has killed it. anyone got any ideas? oh and is ok to drive while the steering isnt wrking?

also had the cambelt changed and the aux belt as well dont know if this will affect it

The aux belt etc doesn't run the steering rack so you should be ok there! Give k- tec a call and see if they can shed any light on the situation Is everyone else workin fine? Driving it without pas shouldn't theoretically do any harm!
:)

The cambelt & aux belt shouldn't cause any problems! Give ktec a call see if they can shed any light on it! It may just be a coincidence, running it with no pas shouldnt be a problem... Check the fuse for the pas pump ;)

i think something has burst as there is a whole load of fluid under the car on the driver side up at the front on the cambelt side of the car. is it common for hose s to fail? and i think i can hear the pump trying to wrk but that might just b me hearing things
