Pre-order waiting?

I've pre-ordered a fair few games over the years - but normally these take a few weeks, several at most to arrive.

At the other end of the scale, what's the longest people have been waiting for something to actually get released? I just checked my Play.com account and I preordered Diablo III back on the 24th May last year.

Anyone else waited nearly a year (or longer?) for a release?

I could never justify pre-ordering until a release date for a game had been confirmed lol.

Can't remember when I ordered it but waiting for ICO atm on PS3... was meant to be out last month but it's been pushed back to November, that's going to be over a year of waiting.

Just pre-ordered Uncharted 3 too

They keep shifting the ETA on it too.

I bet it will be crap on release as well!
