DOGS BLKS MATE, I TEND TO USE WORKS ONE ITS SPOT ON FOR GETTING ALL THE SALT GRIME AND CRAP OFF ESPECIALLY FROM UNDER THE WHEEL ARCHES AND ALONG THE SILLS, A NORMAL HOSE JUST DOESNT GET ALL THE DIRT OUT
the one at work is like an industrial size thing made by kacher (spelling??) i think halfords sell the smaller equivalent, as for connections i really dont know mate cuz its all set up at work, cant imagine its too complicated
they are normally standard hose pipe connections. All you sould need is a hose pipe! and maybe an electric cable extension. As mine doesnt reach from the house to the car.
be careful with it though, some of em with the right attachment on are pretty powerful and im certain they could dent a panel of your car if your too close
my grandad has a Karcher and one of his attachments could definitely do it
lol we borrowed an industrial 1 from my stepdads work i did all the cars and then saw if you twisted the nozzle bit where the water comes out on the end it turns it from a spray to like a lazer beam of water great i thought and mum wanted the paths clean so i did that then she said she wanted garage cleaned ne way big spry wenrnt doing to good so i put it on laser beam setting, BIG MISTAKE i took all the paint off the garge door and i mean ALL of it mad eit nice and shiney wasnt till i stopped and saw all this white stuff on the floor then rubbed garage door and found there was no paint on it ne more.
mum wont let me use any presure washers ne more my god was i sorry after doing that
sorry but the karcher ones are quite unreliable too ive heard. i was given a power devil one which is reliable but the hose isnt very long so i have to carry it everywhere. i think they retail at about 40-60 quid from argos, comes with hozelok attachments also. plenty of pressure.
have any of you jetted your engine bay? i did it on my old micra, but as this car has more electrics im not sure if i might fry the electrics doing so!
oh, and brun - youre right, they can dent your panels...me and a mate tried it out on a knackered motor, they need to be used with care!!!!
